Rich Text Format (RTF)

While the RTF (Rich Text Format) was meant to be compatible with all Window word processor programs, the truth is that not all programs have fully implemented all RTF attributes. Therefore while you will get most attributes, you might not get the full results that you expected. Microsoft Word ® does fully implements all RTF attributes. Therefore you will get your best results if you use Microsoft Word ® 2000 and above.

Wp2Rtf uses RTF version 1.6 which should be compatible with most newer programs. In addition, some WordPerfect characters can only be converted to Unicode, therefore it is advisable to use a word processor which is Unicode compliant.
